A wide range of other support groups help extend Orthopaedic Hospital's mission and community commitment, including: The Lowman Club

Through its tireless efforts in support of community service, charity care, education and research, the Lowman Club honors the memory of Orthopaedic Hospital founder Charles LeRoy Lowman, MD. Founded in 1975, the Lowman Club hosts a variety of fundraising activities, including a formal dinner dance that is held annually. Membership includes professional men and women from throughout the Los Angeles area.

Kappa Lambda Phi Sorority

Since 1929, the Kappa Lambda Phi Sorority has supported Orthopaedic Hospital and sponsored a wide range of fundraising activities. Members reside throughout the Los Angeles area, and monthly meetings are held in members' homes.

Searchlighters

Founded in 1963, the Searchlighters emphasize support for research and education by providing funds to purchase sophisticated research and communication equipment. Members live throughout the Los Angeles area, and meetings are held monthly in members' homes, with two meetings a year held at the Hospital.

Las Angelinas

Founded in 1948, Las Angelinas has provided funds for physical therapy equipment and care for children. Members live throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties, and monthly meetings are held in members' homes.

The Children's Service League

The Children's Service League has a long history of serving and sharing. Since 1949, their philanthropy has generously supported the Brace Fund at Orthopaedic Hospital, having raised more than $750,000 to help children at Orthopaedic Hospital receive much-needed braces and prosthetic devices. Members live throughout the Los Angeles area and hold their monthly meetings at Orthopaedic Hospital. Members also volunteer in the Hospital.

Pleiades Club of Los Angeles

Started by members active in the entertainment industry in 1930, the Pleiades Club provides support for the Social Services Department's annual holiday food baskets provided to needy hospital patients and their families. Members reside throughout the Los Angeles area, and meetings are held semi-annually at members' homes.
