Trauma Care and Fractures
Children with fractures can be evaluated and treated by an orthopaedic specialist and emergency medicine physician at the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Medical Center Urgent Care. The Urgent Care Center is adjacent to the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Outpatient Medical Center (LAOMC), on the downtown Los Angeles campus.
The LAOMC Urgent Care Center is located at 2400 South Flower St. Los Angeles, CA 90007. The phone number is (213) 742-1162. The entrance is on Adams Boulevard. (Click here for area and parking map)
The LAOMC Urgent Care Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Weekend and holiday hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The ORTHOPAEDIC PHYSICIAN treating children's fractures is available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and on limited hours on the weekends.
If your child has a broken bone (fracture), it is advisable to seek care as quickly as possible.
NO APPOINTMENT IS NEEDED FOR TREATMENT OF CHILDREN WITH RECENT/NEW FRACTURES.
After fracture treatment, children (under 18 years of age) receive their on-going, follow-up care in the Children's Fracture Clinic in the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Medical Center. The Outpatient Medical Center is across from the Urgent Care Center.
The time of the day with the shortest wait period for parents to bring their child into the Urgent Care is between 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
