LOS ANGELES, June 18, 2010 -- Los Angeles Orthopaedic
Hospital, a world leader in pediatric orthopaedic treatment, research and
education, has added Steven T. Valentine to the Los Angeles Orthopaedic
Hospital Board of Directors and Richard E. Giss and to the Los Angeles

Comprised of leading members of the greater Los Angeles

on its board of directors and foundation board of trustees for leadership and
support of the hospital and its programs. The boards have been instrumental in
guiding the organization through its current expansion of services, including
the recent opening of a children’s clinic in Santa Monica and the new Santa
Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital scheduled to open in 2011.
“Our new board members have the talent and commitment
necessary to help us continue our dedication to the mission,” said Dr. James V.
Luck, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Los Angeles Orthopaedic
Hospital. “Their leadership is critical
as we continue to improve care for people with all types of orthopaedic
problems through patient care, research and education.”
“Members who bring specific talents and backgrounds allow
us to make great strategic decisions,” said Michael Lombardi, chairman of the
board of directors or Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital. “Los Angeles
Orthopaedic Hospital is the future of orthopaedic care. Continuing to provide
critical services well into the next century will take careful planning, continued
donor support and strategic partnerships.”
