"It's A Bargain" Thrift Shop

Looking for something special for yourself or your home? "It's A Bargain" Thrift Shop features an eclectic array of clothing, jewelry, housewares, furniture and specialty items.

"It's A Bargain" Thrift Shop was established in 1957, and is sponsored by the Charitable Children's Guild of Orthopaedic Hospital. The Guild was incorporated in 1913 and has assisted in making the future better by helping children with orthopaedic problems.

Since its inception and with the proceeds from the "It's A Bargain" Thrift Shop, the Charitable Children's Guild has funded a variety of programs and services for the benefit of children. The Guild provided a charitable endowment fund for children, contributed to the wheelchair fund, supported the Homer C. Pheasant Spine Institute, Bone Tumor Registry, Hemophilia Treatment Center, Spina Bifida Service, Cleft Palate Clinic, Brace Fund and Music Therapy Program.

The "It's A Bargain" Thrift Shop greatly appreciates donations. Donors can drop off new or used items, or arrange for pick-up by calling the Thrift Shop. Tax receipts are provided to donors.

All proceeds benefit the charitable care programs at Orthopaedic Hospital.

Volunteers - Making a Difference

The "It's A Bargain" Thrift Shop could not operate without the support and endless hours of volunteers. Volunteers provide a major contribution to benefit the children with more than 2,500 manpower hours of service each year.
