The Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation oversees and guides fundraising efforts to support Orthopaedic Hospital and its programs, including pediatric charity care, education, and research. Since its inception in 1918, the Foundation has financially supported Orthopaedic Hospital's historic mission to provide superior orthopaedic care to children, regardless of their families' ability to pay. For over 90 years, this mission has driven the continuous development of new programs that reach out to serve those most in need - with specialty medical service. It is through the fundraising efforts of the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation that Orthopaedic Hospital is able to touch thousands of lives, with innovative programs and groundbreaking research that answers the changing needs of the Greater Los Angeles community and the global medical community.

The Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation manages endowments and funds that support the Hospital's treatment, rehabilitation, research and education programs. Governed by a 36-member Board of Trustees, the Foundation receives numerous contributions from individuals, corporations, and institutions averaging approximately $10 million each year.

With the generous support of its donors, volunteers, staff and community members, the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation has been able to raise millions of dollars that have ensured Orthopaedic Hospital's ability to treat more than two million children since 1911.
