Nearly $300,000 In Contributions From California Community Foundation
LOS ANGELES, November 20, 2012 - The Board of the California Community Foundation (CCF) designated nearly $300,000 in funding for Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital (LAOH). The distributions, from 21 of the CCF's donor-restricted funds, are designated for general support and the provision of medical care to children and those in need.
"The California Community Foundation joins with Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital in expressing gratitude to the donors who made this gift possible," said Veniegas. "The funding will support the hospital in fulfilling its mission to provide services for children regardless of ability to pay.” CCF places special emphasis on issues and projects that are poised to transform everyday life in Los Angeles and beyond, fostering excellence through grants to deserving institutions. CCF's grantmaking transforms its donors' compassion and generosity into philanthropy that is both meaningful and impactful, helping improve the lives of countless residents throughout Los Angeles County – and, in the process, helping strengthen the entire nonprofit sector in the region.
