Mauricio Silva, M.D.
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Mauricio Silva is the Associate Medical Director and Medical Director of the Urgent Care Center at Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC). He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Orthopaedic Hospital/UCLA Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCLA. He joined OIC in 1999, and became its Associate Medical Director in July, 2005. He provides specialized orthopaedic care for pediatric patients at the OIC downtown Los Angeles campus, the Reene and Meyer Luskin Children's Clinic in Santa Monica, and the Valley Orthopaedic Clinic in Calexico, CA. He also provides specialized orthopaedic care for pediatric and adult patients with musculoskeletal complications due to hemophilia and other bleeding disorders at the Orthopaedic Hemophilia Treatment Center (OHTC), located at the downtown Los Angeles campus. Dr. Silva received his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, and completed his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at OIC in Los Angeles.
