Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) Outpatient Medical Center and its supporting programs offer a variety of job opportunities to support its mission. Open Positions:

Outstanding ground-level opportunity for the exceptional candidate to lead the planning, organizing and directing of the overall clinical operations for a two-room, state of the art, orthopaedic pediatric ambulatory surgery center scheduled to open in early 2016. As Clinical Manager of the Ambulatory Surgical Center,  candidate will have oversight and responsibility for the clinical nursing practice and management of quality patient care; provide direct supervision of all ASC staff; participate in staff recruitment, retention, training and evaluation; guide and develop the supply chain and budget management process; provide oversight of quality improvement activities and infection control program, policy and procedure development and serve as liaison between patients, families, nursing staff and medical providers. May function as a circulating and scrub nurse. The successful candidate will possess the following educational and experience attributes: At least five years direct OR experience, ambulatory surgery services preferred, with a minimum of three years in a charge nurse/supervisor role.  Pediatric experience required, orthopaedic experience desired. Graduate of accredited school of nursing and BSN required, MSN preferred.  Current California RN Licensure, PALS, ACLS certification required.

The Assistant Director, Events reports to the Senior Director, Community Outreach as is responsible to manage the logistic and administrative tasks in support of fundraising events, commmunity outreach events, one-time events, event sponsorship for the OIC Foundation and other events as assigned. The Assistant Director, Events will coordinate up to 10 to 20 major events per year, 10 to 20 smaller events per year, as well as provide assistance to events conducted by OIC Foundation Support Groups. The Assistant Director, events should have a passion for special event managment and volunteerism, provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional who is comfortalbe speaking in public, and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers. Full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, is available for a Special Services Billing Representative in our Patient Accounts department.  The candidate will be responsible for the billing and collections of California Children Services, the GHPP, and the AIA and ensures that all billing functions are submitted accurately and timely.  Reconciliation of insurance remittance advices and monitoring for proper authorizations are also expected as well as all related duties.  Previous experience with professional component billing is required and proficiency with Cerner PowerWorks software is preferred.



Full-time position, Monday through Friday is available for a CA licensed Nurse Practitioner.  The Nurse Practitioner will coordinate the care of pediatric orthopedic surgery pre and post-op and provide patient/family education. Major functions include developing and implementing discharge plans in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting in OR and collaborating with team. Required are Masters Degree in nursing, CA state RN and NP licenses and national certification, BCLS certification and at least one year’s experience.
