Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) Outpatient Medical Center and its supporting programs offer a variety of job opportunities to support its mission. The clinical staff is dedicated to children's orthopedic treatment to improve the health and well-being of children, so they may return to functional and fullfilling childhood activities. Other areas of interest include all the busy and enterprising departments of an active Medical Center, including an extremely well-regarded orthopedic Research Department, a thriving Physical Therapy Service, and an energetic Foundation.


Open Positions:

The Director, Foundations reports to the Vice President, Chief Philanthropy Officer and is responsible for implementation of OIC's Founation fundraising efforts. She/he will be responsible for planning and directing fundraising strategies to secure annual and multi-year gifts and grants to ensure, through exemplary stewardship, long-term relations with foundation donors. She/he will have direct access to volunteer leadership and physicians to identify prospective donors and implement solicitation and cultivation startegies, including proposal submission and report preparation.  Click here to view job description.



The Associate Director, Corporations will focus on identifying, cultivating and stewarding coprorate prospects and donors to support Orthopaedic Institute for Children's operations, maintenance, public programs and sponsorship marketing. The Associate Director is responsible for an annual fundraising goal as well as the strategic expansion of the program. The marketing and communicatinos coordinator reports to the Senior Director, Marketing and Communications and provides assistance in the development and implementation of OIC's marketing and communications plan. The Assistant Director, Volunteer Services reports to the Senior Director Community Outreach and provides assistance and leadership in guiding and directing OIC's volunteer program. The Assistant Director has oversite of a comprehensive volunteer program encompassing youth and adult volunteers, as well as OIC Support Groups. Full-time position, Monday through Friday is available for a CA licensed Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner will coordinate the care of pediatric orthopaedic surgery pre and post-op and provide patient/family education. Major functions include developing and implementing discharge plans in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting in OR and collaborating with team. Required are Masters Degree in nursing, CA state RN and NP licenses and national certification, BCLS certification and at least one year's experience.


A full-time position, 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, is available for a Scheduling Supervisor. The candidate will direct the services of Registration and Scheduling departments in the Outpatient Clinics and Urgent Care Center to ensure accurate entry into the patient management system and timely scheduling of appointments. Develops goals, objectives and policies for the department and recruits, trains and supervises staff. At least two year's of related experience and college degree is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.



A full-time position, 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, for a Surgery Scheduling Coordinator is open. The candidate coordinates the scheduling of surgeries for all facilities. Outlook calendar and Cerner EMR systems are utilized and a person bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Exact data entry and attention to detail are expected and a minimum of one year of related experience is required.




Full-time position is open; days vary and weekend work is required. The candidate prepares patients and applies, modifies or removes casts according to physician orders. Experience is required and bilingual in English and Spanish is required.



A full-time position, with varying days including weekends, is available for a Registration Clerk in our Urgent Care Department. This person will answer phones, assist with patient registration and requires a person bilingual English and Spanish. Previous experience of at least one year in patient registration is also required.
