Christine “Chris” Wright Roper
Ms. Roper retired effective 12/31/12 from the money-management firm Aletheia Research & Management, Inc. where she was head trader for 13 years. Prior to joining Aletheia, Ms. Roper spent 32 years with First Union Securities (now Wells Fargo Advisors). Ms. Roper has been affiliated with the LAOH support group the League-Caring for Children with Orthopedic Needs (LCC) since the early 1970’s; she started as a member of the Professionals of the League, joined the Pinafores and Juniors of the League alongside her daughter from 1st grade through high school, and has served as the League’s president for the past six years. Ms. Roper represented her employers as a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) since 1981, was president in 1989, and continues to serve EWI as a Sustaining Member. She is an avid traveler; a favorite destination is Hamburg, Germany, to visit her daughter who has lived there for over 3 years.
